Learn the basic steps for making another version of a Faberge egg.
Open a new document, 600x600. Using the Path tool, draw a 3D round ellipse, your choice of color.
Duplicate and change to 3D pipe with a width of 3. Apply a preset of your choice.
Duplicate the pipe. With the "Keep aspect ratio" button unlocked, make the pipe somewhat more narrow than the original.
Repeat the above step until you have filled the egg, being careful to space the duplicated pipes evenly. R/C, Select all objects, then R/C, Merge as single object .
Draw a long, narrow ellipse,somewhat wider than the egg, another color of your choice.
Following the same steps as above, duplicate and change to 3D pipe.
Duplicate both and place below the top one.
Click on the egg to activate,use the Eraser tool and erase the parts of the egg between the two ovals.
There you have a basic Faberge egg.
Use dingbat fonts or your own creations to make a stand for the egg. Below are some examples I have done to give you some ideas.
